AL Transaction May 15th
The New York Yankees sent down 1B/3B Len Boehmer to Triple A Syracuse and called up OF Jim Lyttle.
Boehmer, a 27 year old rookie, had a cup of coffee with the Reds in 1967, going 0-3 in two games. This season he was hitting .250 with 1 RBI in 18 plate appearances.
Lyttle will be making his major league debut at the age of 23. He was the Yankees 1st round draft pick in 1966, 10th overall.

The Chicago White Sox placed Don Pavletich on the DL today and activated Tom McCraw.
Catcher/1B Pavletich was hitting .318 with 2 homers and 13 RBI(2nd on the team) in 51 plate appearances. The 30 year old is in his 10th season, his 1st with Chicago after 9 years with Cincinnati.
McCraw is in his 7th year, all with Chicago. Last year the 28 year old first baseman hit .235 with 9 homers and 44 RBI in 518 plate appearances.
