Jim Hannan tossed a complete game shutout as the Washington Senators topped
the Seattle Pilots by a score of 4 to 0 at Sicks Stadium.

Hannan(1-4) was in control of the game from the outset. He didn't allow much,
just 6 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA to 2.28. Washington
finished with just 5 hits in the victory.

The loss was charged to Gene Brabender(2-2). He surrendered 4 runs and 4 hits
in 6 and 2/3 innings.
