The Pittsburgh Pirates sent down 22 year old 1B Bob Robertson to Triple A. In his 2nd season with the Pirates, 9 games in 1967, Robertson was hitting .211 with 1 homer and 10 RBI in 83 plate appearances.

Roberto Clemente was activated off the DL after the roster spot was cleared. Clemente, in his 15th season (all with the Pirates), was hitting .343 with 4 homers and 12 RBI in 17 games before going on the DL April 28th. At 34 years old Clemente shows no signs of slowing down.
